Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How many years of experience do you have?

Platinum Fire Productions has been doing video work since 2005.

  2. Approximately how many weddings have you worked?

By the end of 2015, Platinum Fire Productions will have done over 150 weddings!

  3. Are you the person who will be videotaping our wedding?

Nicky or Liza Alison are the primary videographers for the company and they are responsible for the majority of our one shooter packages. We do have two videographers who frequently join us for our multi-shooter packages and who occassionally shoot solo.

  4. What type of equipment do you use?

    Panasonic DVX200 for 4K video
    Panasonic HMC150 for HD video

  5. Do you bring backup equipment with you?

Yes, we always have an extra camera with us in case of equipment issues.

  6. What is your payment policy?

We require a contract and a $250.00 (non-refundable) deposit to secure your date with the remainder of the payment due by the day of the wedding. We accept Cash, Check, Credit and Paypal.

  7. What is your cancellation policy?

In case of a change in the time or date of the event, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the change. However, if the new time or date conflicts with our existing schedule, we will terminate the contract and you will forfeit any previous non-refundable deposits. In case of cancellation, your non-refundable deposit will be forfeit.

  8. Could you give us a list of referrals for your services?

In respect for the privacy of our customers, we do not give out a list of referrals. However, you can view public testimonials here. You can also review collections of our work for wedding videos.

  9. Do we get raw footage or is it available for purchase?

The raw footage is not available for purchase. We retain the raw footage for a couple weeks after we send you the final DVD, Blu-Ray, or USB. That way if you find something that needs to be changed, we can re-master it with the changes. We are pretty traditional with our editing; much of the footage we gather is put into the final product and we often make an 'Extras' DvD for additional dancing that didn't make it onto the main DvD. We DO keep the final DVD forever. So if you want to purchase copies later, we can make more.

  10. Do you visit the ceremony and reception sites before the wedding?

Typically, we do not visit the venues prior to the wedding, but if the venue is within a reasonable driving distance, and it is requested by the couple, we will do so.
